Practice Type

100% equine practice, primarily ambulatory with outpatient and inpatient exams and treatments performed in our clinic.

Facilities

The clinic features a four stall hospital and is equipped with digital radiography, endoscopy, gastroscopy, ultrasonography, shock wave therapy and power dental equipment. 

Case Load

Primarily performance horses. The local horse population consists of dressage, eventing, show horses, and pleasure horses. 

Our Externship Goal

Gain hands on experience with a wide variety of diagnostic and treatment disciplines. As an extern you will be exposed to a large variety of cases including medicine, surgery, acupuncture and lameness exams. Our aim is to provide students with a realistic example of a successful ambulatory practice.

Location

We are located in beautiful Uxbridge Massachusetts, but our practice covers not only southern Massachusetts but also northern Rhode Island. In addition our practice is less than twenty minutes from the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, a major large animal referral center. 

Externs Prerequisite

To be a student in a college of veterinary medicine.
