Originally from Elkhart, Indiana, Dr. Emily earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University after graduating summa cum laude from Kansas State University. During her time at K-State, she was a member of the two-time world champion horse judging team and was recognized as an Outstanding Senior in Animal Science. A lifelong horse enthusiast, Dr. Emily’s passion for equine medicine began early through 4-H, where she showed her Quarter Horses in all-around events across the Midwest. Her professional interests include sports medicine and lameness, with a particular focus on how conformation and preventative care influence the long-term success of performance horses. Outside the clinic, Dr. Emily enjoys exploring New England, kayaking, hiking, and spending time with her cat, Pablo. She’s also known to pick up a pencil now and then to create a pet portrait or two.
