Massachusetts Equine Clinic

About MEC's Internship Program
The Massachusetts Equine Clinic internship is designed to provide comprehensive training in equine medicine for recent veterinary graduates. Over the past 30 years, our internship program has successfully trained more than 50 veterinarians. Many have gone on to residencies in internal medicine and theriogenology, sports medicine fellowships, PhD programs, and even practice ownership. You’ll be part of that tradition—supported, challenged, and prepared to take on whatever path your career holds next.
You’ll gain supportive, extensive hands-on experience in wellness and preventative care, sports medicine and lameness, emergency medicine and wound management, field surgery and anesthesia, infectious disease management, and client communication and practice management.
